Wes is a servant advisor who loves to meet new people, learn about their lives, and help his clients solve their complex financial challenges.  His ultimate goal for all of his clients is to help them answer their financial questions – “How am I doing?” or “Am I making the best financial decisions?” – with clarity and confidence.

When he first sits down with you, Wes will spend most of the time listening to all of your goals, concerns, and needs in order to truly understand what is most important to you.  He then works collaboratively with you to design and implement meaningful financial strategies and systems that aim to simplify your financial decision making process and ensure you have peace of mind that your financial future will meet your expectations.

Wes believes strongly that the best financial advisors, the ones you should want to work with, act as your true fiduciary.   Fiduciary literally means “trusted” and it denotes always placing the client’s interests first – that means ahead of the advisor’s interests.  To Wes, being a fiduciary means thoughtfully listening to your needs and providing honest feedback that clearly explains your options and range of outcomes and working together to help you establish a sophisticated process you can continually rely on to maximize the value of the wealth you have created.

Wes loves working with his diverse, unique client base: individuals and families, movie directors and cinematographers, solo entrepreneurs and small business owners, health care practitioners and construction professionals.  In addition to serving as the company’s Head of Operations & Compliance, Wes also leads the company’s 401(PRO) advisory service, designed specifically to simplify the administration and reduce the liability small businesses encounter when managing their 401(k) retirement plan.

Wes is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional who has been in the financial services industry for over 15 years and has experience ranging from investment banking to private equity and hedge funds to a growing startup to public accounting.  He’s learned that regardless of the environment, if you do right by the client and help make their life easier, the rest generally takes care of itself.

"The best financial advisors don't lecture. Instead, they listen, evaluate, educate, and serve. By doing so, they provide a fundamental value that, at its best, delivers something largely unquantifiable....peace of mind.
I go to work every day with that singular goal for my clients."

Background

Wes is a native Texan and spent the first part of his life in Houston.  He then moved to Austin and attended the University of Texas, where he received both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the McCombs School of Business.

After a brief stint at the Big 4 accounting firm EY, Wes began his career on Wall Street where he was an investment banking analyst at Lazard focused on mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and general business strategy.  After a few years at Lazard and a few years at Eden Capital, where he was responsible for sourcing, developing, and managing a portfolio of investments in early stage healthcare and technology companies, Wes spent almost a decade with a Registered Investment Advisor in Los Angeles, ultimately becoming the company’s Chief Operating Officer.  It was during this time that he developed a passion for serving the financial needs of a diverse set of clients and became licensed as a Certified Financial Planner™.

Wes is excited to be back home in Austin and much closer to family and his beloved Longhorns.  His wife Alison, whom he met the first day of college freshman orientation, is a Board certified pelvic floor physical therapist at Urology Austin and a Pilates instructor.  On the weekends, you will find Wes spending time with his family in Austin and Georgetown and trying to match the energy level of his two sons.
