Wes is responsible for managing the operations of the firm and works closely with small business owners to help them simplify their complex financial lives by focusing on the issues that matter most to them.  He also leads the company’s 401(PRO) service, a dedicated fiduciary advisory service designed specifically for small business 401(k) plans.

Wes believes strongly in the idea that the best financial advisors, the ones you likely want to work with, act as your true fiduciary.   Fiduciary literally means “trusted” and it denotes always placing the clients’ interests first.  To Wes, being a fiduciary means thoughtfully listening to your needs and providing honest, conflict-free feedback that clearly explains your options and range of outcomes and working together to help you find optimal solutions and stay on track.

From helping business owners establish 401(k) plans that maximize value and minimize cost to working with individual clients to help educate them so they feel confident and can make informed decisions, Wes is always looking to provide guidance and continued service to his clients.  He is a natural problem solver and he dedicates his time listening to peoples’ needs and working collaboratively to develop and implement solutions that provide peace of mind in a complex financial world.

Wes has been in the financial services industry for over 15 years and has experience working with everything from Fortune 500 companies to growing startups.  He’s learned that regardless of the environment, if you do right by the client and help make their life easier, the rest will take care of itself.

"The best financial advisors don't lecture. Instead, they listen, evaluate, educate, and serve. By doing so, they provide a fundamental value that, at its best, delivers something largely unquantifiable....peace of mind.
I go to work every day with that singular goal for my clients."

Background

Wes is a native Texan and spent the first part of his life in Houston.  He then moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas, where he received both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the McCombs School of Business, with specializations in Finance and Accounting.

After a brief stint at the Big 4 accounting firm EY, Wes began his career in earnest on Wall Street where he was an investment banking analyst at Lazard focused on mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and general business strategy.  After two years at Lazard and two years at Eden Capital, where he was responsible for sourcing, developing, and managing a portfolio of investments in early stage healthcare and technology companies, Wes spent almost a decade with a Registered Investment Advisor in Los Angeles, ultimately becoming Chief Operating Officer.  It was during this time that he developed a passion for serving the financial needs of a diverse set of clients and became licensed as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™.

Wes is excited to be back home in Austin and much closer to family and his beloved Longhorns.  His wife Alison, whom he met the first day of college freshman orientation, is a Board certified physical therapist and Pilates instructor.  On the weekends, you will find Wes spending time with family in Austin and Georgetown and trying to match the energy level of his two sons.
